You can start to book your tickets to visit Baños de la Hedionda in Casares for the months of July and August. The entrance to its dome is still free, but it is limited to max. 25 persons per visit to preserve its great historical and natural value as well as maximaze the security of its users.
These natural baths are well known as it is where Julius Caesar supposedly was cured of a liver complaint, thanks to the sulfuric waters that still pour out of the local spring. Definitely a must on your TO DO list.

This Sunday, 5th of May will be yearly Spring Cellebration in Casares Costa at the park Los Alegres with fun program for all the family.
This special day starts at 10.30 am with walk/strall/run “Caminando por la Costa” which you can enjoy by foot, on bike and even walk with your pet.
The trail goes: Los Alegres – Arroyo Parrilla – Marina Casares – Paseo Marítimo – Playa Chica – Torre La Sal – Paseo de la Perla – over the bridge passing A-7 and back to Parque los Alegres, where most of activities, games and fun take the place from midday. Every finisher gets her/his medal!
There will be as well a stand, where drinks, snacks, sandwiches and paella made there and then will be served for popular prices. The benefit will go towards local students.

Finishing touches being made to the new athletics stadium in Estepona. The site, covering 34,132 M2, will feature an athletics track, football ground, a BMX track, and an underground car park will take around 1,000 cars.
It will be the first Russian Orthodox church building in Andalucía and only the third in Spain.
The budget for the construction on the new site is over 1.1 million euros, less than the original four-million-euro project proposed for Marbella, and the money is being raised through donations.
Estepona town hall has granted rights to use to land for 75 years free of charge as the foundation is a charitable organisation.

A year ago the central government has given the green light to the proposal put forward by the Junta de Andalucía to declare the Sierra de las Nieves a national park. The campaign continues to include the Sierra Bermeja mountains, closer to Estepona, in the area protected as a national park – join in and participate on walk the 2nd of March 2019.
