As every summer, the townhall of Casares organized a beautiful musical right under the stars.
You can enjoy Beauty and the Beast musical (in Spanish) at Jardines del Rosario – local public park right in middle of protected natural area of Casares Costa.
The 25th of July, starts at 10pm. Make sure you bring something comfortable to sit on (blanket or cushion).
With summer time, holidays and time to enjoy the beach life, it is very important you know the meaning of the local flags on the beach.
Here is a classic example, the courtesy of “Protección civil” from Manilva:
Green = Safe to bathe
Yellow = Bathe with caution especially with children
Red = NO BATHING _ DANGEROUS CURRENTS OR WEATHER CONDITIONS
White = Jellyfish warning
Black = Closed beach
You can start to book your tickets to visit Baños de la Hedionda in Casares for the months of July and August. The entrance to its dome is still free, but it is limited to max. 25 persons per visit to preserve its great historical and natural value as well as maximaze the security of its users.
These natural baths are well known as it is where Julius Caesar supposedly was cured of a liver complaint, thanks to the sulfuric waters that still pour out of the local spring. Definitely a must on your TO DO list.
With summer approaching, the sun shining and days getting warmer, you can see some HOT offer trying to attract the first tourists of the season in Costa del Sol.
We find some of them… worth sharing with a little giggle:
If you LOVE paella, any tipe of paella, you cannot let this opportunity go:
4th paella competition (Concurso de Arroces) organized by Bar Tobalo this Saturday!

Here is the program for Semana Santa processions in Estepona:
Believing in God or not, is a magic time and you should not miss this important part of Spanish culture.
Little bit more about Semana Santa processions here.
Finishing touches being made to the new athletics stadium in Estepona. The site, covering 34,132 M2, will feature an athletics track, football ground, a BMX track, and an underground car park will take around 1,000 cars.
It will be the first Russian Orthodox church building in Andalucía and only the third in Spain.
The budget for the construction on the new site is over 1.1 million euros, less than the original four-million-euro project proposed for Marbella, and the money is being raised through donations.
Estepona town hall has granted rights to use to land for 75 years free of charge as the foundation is a charitable organisation.
